Post PD lower unit
is there any way a motor being in the water for an extended period up time like a year cause damage to the lower unit besides a little algae build up? assuming the seals are good.

Not other than corrosion buildup like anything else left in water.

Nothing serious. If the seals are good I'm sure it is fine. I'd take it apart and clean it up and grease it good.
