 Prodrive floating handle
Has anyone ever rigged up a floating handle on a prodrive, seems like if you rig a squeeze throttle it would work, any info?

 Re: Prodrive floating handle
I was thinking the same thing, and I don't see why it wouldn't work if you go with a cable throttle.

 Re: Prodrive floating handle
Only times mine have ever got me, a floating handle wouldn't have saved me. It's those times when you have a prop strike and the motor kicks sideways, instead of up and down, and you're not thinking and standing too far back. I've had em hit me so hard in the side of the leg that I go down too the floor of the boat and feel like I can't catch my breath! Floating handle ain't gonna save you when that tiller wants to fly sideways.

 Re: Prodrive floating handle
Here's a few picks of the one on my old frame. It did the job well. I simply cut 1 inch below the weld and bolted on 2 plates, one on each side, added a pivot point, a travel stop, and a locking pin for running veggies. I ran this setup with the twist grip and a custom throttle linkage.

 Re: Prodrive floating handle
I forgot to mention that it had about 10 inches of travel , and if you drilled the front bolt lower you can get even more.

 Re: Prodrive floating handle
Pooh Bear, you will need to obtain one of those super cool, shiny, Allen head bolts to hold on that circular back plate. I have not one in my possession.
