 Transom work-raising motor
I've got a couple questions regarding raising my motor (Tall transom motor, short transom boat). I've got a 1" shim in right now. When I take off and slow down, water is being deflected off the belt drive housing, and splashed back in the boat. --How high would you say the bottom of the belt housing/drive should be above the bottom of the boat? I have a 16x56 GD boat with the bottom taper. I was thinking of adding a piece of 3" channel to the transom. --Or, I guess i could add slpash shields, but that would just bandaid the issue rather than correcting it. How tall is the transom on tall transom models? I didn't see transom height listed on the GD boat web.
