No, it's not an EFI...I had a cheap moment everyone tried to talk me into getting it straight from PD with the kit on it...now I hate that LAWN MOWER CARB!!!!

Re: Admit it, post your stuck pic here!
yea that motor looks like its the new trim an reverse set up with the new switches. I was at the PD shop the other day an checked out the EFI motors that they had at the boat show. From what the guys at PD said it makes a big diffrence. Im thinking about adding that to mine once they try it on a modded motor to see if it's worth it

Re: Admit it, post your stuck pic here!
He does have the new switches and I like them, not neccessarily the placement. His is easier to "fine tune" the trim, doesn't jump up or down like mine does when you try to bump it a little. He hasn't taken the cover off but I suspect its a solenoid and a switch.

Re: Admit it, post your stuck pic here!
Thats it, Will. They went to that set up s that switch wouldn't have to take the entire electrical load. ATV Winch solenoid I believe.

Re: Admit it, post your stuck pic here!
It feels way more reliable and I bet you can add more switches real easy.

Re: Admit it, post your stuck pic here!
yea they are a lot easier to set. When i was over there I saw they using a dual hydro pump for the reverse an trim instead of the two diffrent pumps

Re: Admit it, post your stuck pic here!
I'm not sure I like that idea, what tells the hydraulics to work which ram? Sounds like more to tear up even though you cut out a pump?

Re: Admit it, post your stuck pic here!
The only thing I don't like about the new trim switches is where they put it the black box you see gets in the easy of the reverse lock if the motor is trimmed up too high.

It is a little deceptive, even when I pick the engine up and slam it down it won't go in deeper than the skeg.

I've got a place down there too. Where is your condo? What's the name? I was a firefighter for the city there for years, so I got to know most of them inside and out.

Re: Admit it, post your stuck pic here!
Told the lil'fella we could go fishing. I wanted to see how far the lake had dropped so I ran down one of the trails to one of my fishing spots, the water was down a pretty good ways but I was wide ass open and ran out of water pretty quick. It continued down the trail in what little water was left and came toa stop. I had to hop out turn the rig around and drag it about 100 yards before it was deep enough to use the motor. Funny part is right after we stuck the my son looked up and said "I don't think we will catch any fish here we should move."

Worst lillies I ever tried to run. They were JAM packed...and that load in the front of the boat didn't help either...pain in the ass to get out. Made it about 300 yards and the boat sat down and that was all she wrote
