I have a 07 mudbuddy 29 hp van guard and was going to get a grease gun and lube the lower unit...what size fitting? also, just reg marine grease. It is missing the cap on it soo I nedd one of those too.

Take a grease fitting off, take it to the parts house and get one the same size. I use marine grease

Just remove it and bring it along to buy a replacement

i guess i should say,i bought a grease gun but dont seem to have the right fittings..what size should i be using?

I'm still not following, usually grease zerks are pretty universal.

By cap I meant to say the hexagonal screw that I took out where you pump the grease in. I have it and the gun now , I bought some grease fittings that screw in where the screw was . I can't tell if its getting grease when I pump however

Is grease coming out of the gun while not on the fitting? Just keep pumping. It was probably empty.

That's the thing, its rreally not coming out when pumping, if I hold the guns trigger mechanism it very very slowly comes out a little.

Thats your problem. I had the same thing happen to me. Throw that trash away and get the standatd size gun. If u look in those lil tubes there only about1/2 -3/4 full. Just a ripoff imo.
