 Re: Gator Glide
I've had both, can't really tell the difference in a mud boat. G4 is supposed to last longer, that's what i have now.

 Re: Gator Glide
So I take it that I would only need a 1/2 gallon of either G2 or G4 to apply to boat already painted. My boat is is only 4 months old so a little sanding and acetone wipe down would be all I need to do correct?

 Re: Gator Glide
My Experience: I called Mr David yesterday to see if he had any suppliers in my area, he said the only way you can get the product is straight from the website... After talking to me about the 2 diffrent types of gator glide I opted gor the G2! He walked me threw the instructions an reassured me to call him back if I had any questions... Damn good customer service! I placed my order after getting off the phone with him, he called me back around 3 that evening, my order was double placed and he was curious of if I wanted 2 orders... Hell he coulda màde a little extra money off of me...i blame poor Internet service on that one but he said he would cancel the second order for me. He called me again around 7 that night assuring me that my 2nd order was canceled and he walked me threw the steps of application again an told me to call him before I apply the G2 1/2 gallon kit to my boat if needed... And he emailed me instructions on applications . Srry for the long post, hope it helps n any way! Ill post before n after speeds and try to get pics

I am trying to order a G2 1/2 gal kit but i don't have a paypal account. Do yall know if there are any other places that sell this besides GG? Also does anybody have any bad experiences by not using the Gator Base? Thanks

 Re: Gator Glide
Create a Paypal account. It takes five minutes and it can actually be useful in many other instances. It's free too.

 Re: Gator Glide
The base is relatively new, most have not used it, it works fine without but it's supposed to add durability and you can get it a different color so you'll know when you need to reapply. And before the question is asked, it depends on what you put your rig through on how long it last, same as a prop. Once you loose the leading edges youll know it, its like you put brakes on when you go over stuff. Once applied, you really only have to touch up the rake and the edges that get worn.

Yall figure this stuff would wear out prematurely if your trailer doesnt have carpet on the wooden bunks?

 Re: Gator Glide
Hard to say, if the wood is smooth enough, not sure it would hurt it. I have a buckle strap on each end of the transom and it still slides back and forth between the side bunks turning...

 Re: Gator Glide
I have used the straight glide and glide with base. I put the base on my new boat and really like the coverage factor when you do the base and then the g4. I got a half gallon of each and saved a little of the g4 and the compound you mix it with for touch ups later.

No PayPal needed! I thought the same that you need a PayPal account, but once you click on pay pal a option on the page that loads up has "other card" option...

Talked to David this afternoon. Great Guy. Very helpful. Ordered my G2 for my boat. Don't bother calling office number. Call his cell.

Even if you have to replace it every season it still doesn't break the bank I say go for it and see how long it lasts

Should not be a concern. I run over as many logs as anyone, and it's not an issue with the Gator Glide.

Hell yeah order it. I've had it on my last 3 boats. It's worth more than what it costs.
