 pro drive jumped out of gear

Post pro drive jumped out of gear
cuttin across da lake today when i hit an old duck blind or a big log. the motor jumped out da water and disengaged da clutch.. it was a hard lick and took some hard licks before but this never happend to me.. question is : does this happen alot to yall when hitting hard objects n what causes this???

i dont believe poker but i wont rule it out. i hit a gate made out of 4" pipe allready that was covered wit lillies and dont remember it juming out like dat.

Its electric so there would have to be a break it current to make the clutch let go. I have hit the button a couple times on a good impact.

Haven't ever had that happen with the clutch, but the trottle is another story. Was running down the river, hit something and the little rod that controls the throttle came loose. Had to get out of the boat to put it back.

i bent the sh!t out of mine when them bushings split under my tiller handle. that is a very bad design prodrive got

have had it jump out on me before and KNOW for a fact that I didnt hit the button but it wasnt pulled out anymore

probably happened more then once but thats not sayin much though from my past experiences with these motors

I've had it happen a few time but I'm with Poker1. It got bumped.

Think about it, when the motor is kicked up the control box is now where the throttle grip use to be. Its getting hit by your forearm/wrist rather than your hand. all with in a fraction of a second. Add a few beers and it = You don't know what the fuk just happened :!: ;)

I agree with BB.... u hit da button.

I've had my switches go out and start jumpin back in on der own.... usually towards da end of crawfish season when I've cycled it about 8 million times, but when dat happens da switch is done and won't stay out when u put it in gear unless u jam a wooden clothes pin behind it. lol
