Post Idea's for for mini 23 hp
So I have a mudbuddy 23hp hd mini and the boat I have it on is a 1980 alumacraft 16x48 that is riveted (rated for 35hp). The part I like about this boat is that its light and with the 23hp on it moves good on the water. But the problem I have is the motor is too heavy for this boat and sit too low in the back end, plus when you slow down it will take on water over the back most of the time. IDEA for what I should do, Pods or Sell the boat and get a new boat?

If you can sell it and get a mud hull that would be best!

Get a new boat designed for a surface drive would increase performance all the way around. I run my Mini on a 1542 quachita 1970's hull. If I slow down too fast water will splash over , just got to feather throttle down to idle.
