OK, I changed the breaker on the trim but
now it seems like it is getting zero power, no clicking , anything. Before I took my old one off it was at least doing that and trim had worked fine on and off again for weeks. Even put the old breaker back on to see if it would at least give me the clicking noise, but nothing.
It is the 07 mudbuddy
thanks for any suggestions

Get a power tester and see where you are getting power to.

Re: OK, I changed the breaker on the trim but
Update on the unit, I re-installed the new 20 amp breaker and tightened everything up well and am getting power back to the trim in the form of the clicks( trying to operate trim). Having replaced the breaker, does this sound like a short somewhere or what?

Check the wires at the trim & see if you're getting power to it. 07 MB had Thompson trim, & prone to failure

Re: OK, I changed the breaker on the trim but
06 most likely had a Bear trim, which was even worse than the Thompson unit. Check those "nicks" in the wires to make sure they're not broken. You should have 12v at the trim when you push the switch. The polarity will reverse when you push the trim button the other direction. If you have that, then the problem is the trim unit. If you don't have 12v, then the issue is either broken wire, bad connection, bad breaker, or bad switch. You'll have to go thru the steps to find which it is. Just keep working your way from the trim - back until you find 12v, then you know where the problem lies.
