Re: Modded B&S Carb From Gecker
Gecker, now that you have our attention with the modded stock carbs we are all interested in a side by side comparison of the 42 mm Mikunin that the others use vs your Level 2 stocker. With all the experience surely you have come to a conclusion of the attributes of both. Please enlighten us less knowledgable.

Re: Modded B&S Carb From Gecker
Price is $295 I think. Pics are being closely guarded it seems for propreitary reasons. I guess they will unveil the exhaust later. Must not be quite ready for the public.

When I talked to them they said they were waiting on a new pipe bender because the one they have crinkles the pipe so maybe that's why there are no pics up yet.

Talked to the man today and got the Level-2 stocker and air filter & adapter on the way. Should be here mid week. Said exhaust will be along soon with pics possibly this weekend or early next week.

Re: Modded B&S Carb From Gecker
Thanks everyone for the responses. I wanted to clarify some things some. On carb swap outs for the 35's--we will need a model and type number or at least the type of carb it is. We need this so that we can send you the right carb core. Right now, we only have 1 style and not the other for core swap outs. If yours has a pig tail off of the the float bowl, we have them. If not, we will need to do new carbs until we get some usable cores.
By the way, we can do the same level of work on ANY carb style. We either need your or we can buy new.
If everything goes well, we should have some pics of the exhaust up this week. I can tell you that it is well worth the wait. There is nothing like this one currently in the market. You will be able to adjust your noise level to either performance or quiet. Very nice! If you are wanting to be quiet that day, 2 minutes and it is quiet. If you are raising hell and want all the speed, another adjustment and you have what you want. And you can go anywhere in between.
Thanks

Any reports yet from anyone who has run the stage 2 modded carb? Will the modified intake make that much difference?

Re: Modded B&S Carb From Gecker
i'm thinking Level-2 modified stock carb, air filter / adapter & exhaust - so that's $250 (w/ core sent to them), 42, 40 & 295 = $627 + shipping - on a gator tail gtr 35. what can i reasonably expect in terms of hp & mph? running it on a go devil 16x56 (rounded chines) that does ~23 - 29 mph (fully loaded to near empty). maybe 10hp? mph? thanks

Re: Modded B&S Carb From Gecker
forgot intake valve - add $56, so 683+ship. that's basically level 2 bolt on package w/out machining the the cylinder heads, right?

Boat with two people flies but this weekend put three and a dog wow did it kill me went from 30.2 to 23.5 couldnt believe the diff. cant deal with that i was about to jump out i was so mad. so i will do what i have to do to fix that problem........

if you wouldnt be so obsessed with mph and leave the gps alone you might have had a good time. 24 mph with 3 people and a dog seems good to me

Dats what I'm saying. I don't run WFO through the stumps fields all the time. Just most the time. And I play year round.

Re: Modded B&S Carb From Gecker
The carbs are overdue and were supposedly lost after being dropped off at UPS. Gecker said they have been found on a pallet of waterlogged packages that got soaked by the storms at the UPS yard in FL last week. He said that UPS will be next day shipping the stuff out so hopefully we will have them to install by friday at least and can run them this weekend.

Re: Modded B&S Carb From Gecker
I know I've only posted on here a couple times, but I'm planning on calling gecker this week and trying his carb at least. Talked to him last Fri. He told me he had 10 modified carbs out and was waiting on them for the cores. Somebody please post up about these carb mods and how they make these motors run.
Thanks Ben
