Post Ordered 1st MM today! BackH20 27 SS F.I.
Spoke to Arlon a few times last week and he's holding one of the Fuel Injected 27 SS's for me until my sale went through. Buyer picked up my Evinrude last night, so I can complete my order today! After 30yrs of conventional outboards this will be my fist mud motor.
Going to sacrfice the mid 20's deep water loaded speeds I was gettting with the outboard to not have to walk in anything shallower than 2 feet. My 1648 LDV War Eagle mod-v is not going to be the optimum hull choice but it's bought and paid for so I'll run it this year and see it it works out. Maybe go to a flat next year.
Can't wait to get out and expore all of the areas that have been inaccessable to me!......Need to get a grab bar and wait for delivery.

I run a 23 Back Water on the exact same boat. You are going to absolutely fall in love. Unloaded I get 21 mph.

Thanks for the preview Frank. It's going to hard to wait. What kind of grab bar do you run in your boat? I'm hoping to find something that doesn't interfere with the rear seat post or my pop up blind.

I built a grab bar that is removable. Frank has seen it. It works really good when setting up boat blind.

I've got the handle that War Eagle makes. It fits all of their boats. Very sturdy but easy to remove if necessary.

Power - I'm in Michigan
Frank - thanks for the pic. I couldn't find one anywhere on the web that showed the mounting of the WE bar to the floor. It looks like the width won't bother me when sitting with the blind up. Would rather just buy one. Seems like every time I build something for myself my time invested doesn't justify the money saved.

Congrats, I just received my 27 EFI LS this week and have had it out twice on the Kansas river twice so far. Speed is...acceptable, but first day I had it out I tried everything short of running onto a sandbar to get the boat stuck and it just powered out of everything I ran through...After about an 1 hour it finally bottomed out in less than 2 inch's of water and some heavy sand. I have this on a 21 inch transom for the time being, but it still ran great.

Hope you enjoy the motor.
