 Alweld Boats
Can you put a gdsd or gtr on a mod. v bottom boat ? Thinking about getting a mud motor and just would like to know if I can use the boat, or will I have to get a flat bottom boat. Thanks for any info.

 Re: Alweld Boats
If the transom can handle a 300# motor why not? Will you get the full potential out of the motor? NO. Will it push the boat around? Yes. The proper question is: How well will it work on my boat? Give us some info on the boat and we can help with that.

 Re: Alweld Boats
It would be a 16 foot with a 48 inch bottom and 20 inch transom. like that the front is pointed on the boat. How about a hanko 16' 52" it has a pointed front with a flat bottom, would that be a better boat to run?

 Re: Alweld Boats
Thanks for the info. I need to go and demo a gtr and a gdsd. Which one out of the two is easier to drive? I have a bad back that gives me problems sometimes.
