Post Carb Spacer
I know back in the day we would put a 1" Spacer under the carb on our hotrods to give it a "tunnel ram" effect and get a little more torque. Has anybody tried this on these motors and if so what was the outcome?

Haven't tried it yet, but have contemplated throwing a spacer behind the S&S on my motor. In general, longer intake runners produce more power at lower rpms, just as longer headpipes help produce more torque than short ones.

Generally speaking if fuel and air passes trhough the carb/ throttle body it will help. If just air goes throught the throttle body its useless.

Basically in a small block Chevrolet with a carb or a TBI motor they will boost some TQ due to having a little more room for the air and fuel to mix for optimium atomization.
Now on a vortec injected motor and the new LS style you are wasting your time.

With that said it can be worth a shot if the spacer can be had for cheap to try it.
