Exactly what they said...If you bought a brand new lawn mower would you be worried about breakin it in..HELL NO..You would filler' up with gas and oil and mow the shit out of that grass and never look back so do the same with your new motor..

really though crank it up but a rubberband aroun the throttle and grip and have a 25 gallon gas tank hook up and let it run till the tanks dry.

Re: Whats the proper way to break in my new motor ?
Straight from the Briggs site http://faqs.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/faqs.c ... p_faqid=67 You will have confilicting info back and fourth This is not a high performance application IMO so just keep fluids toppe doff and run it to your pleasure and chage the olil after about 15 hours and then once a year after that.

Re: Whats the proper way to break in my new motor ?
I believe most would agree to disagree with the Briggs link in the previous thread. I do not recommend running synthetic until you have at least 50 hours on the engine.

Re: Whats the proper way to break in my new motor ?
It is all preference, I changed my oil to syntheic after 15 hours and never looked back. I broke it in with various situations and loads. It is all preference on oil choice, some like Dino oil and some like the synthetic. It all lubricates, but when looked at the Molecular structure from dino to synthetic my choice is made.
