I know you you all have debated this one a bit.... I want reverse for picking up dekes, and I'll use the boat a lot for fishing next summer. Hopefully I can get Aucoin to fab me up a new SS Edition Bateau. I noticed the new Pro Drives have the new BS engine. Supposedly can idle a lot better at slow speeds?? Won't be in a ton of mud, but shallow water and weeds for sure. Also wondered if the belts on the GT have any reliability issues.

Like what has been said before search the site. Either motor will do what you are wanting. Best think anyone on here will tell you is to drive them both and see which best suits your needs. I had to have both!!!!!

if you can before you drop approx $6500. go to Loreauville and set up a test drive of both, they are about a half mile from each other and a nice testing lake about three miles away. Both companies got some fine folks working for them and will treat you like a king.
