 Xpress awd have question
I am looking at a xpress awd 16ft with a 36 pro drive. Does anyone run this set up and have any advice. I have never had a surface drive but hunt in shallow back waters and some timber. I am not really worried about how fast I get to the blind just want a good boat and motor. Please help any advice is welcome

That's what is on the boat and was told it was a good fit. He told me we could go on a test ride. Just wanted some input from some one else

 Re: Xpress awd have question
So is the boat not going to handle the motor or is the performance going to suck that bad. I don't want to race it or anything just want to get in shallow water without having to push my boat.

Stumps will destroy the bottom.

 Re: Xpress awd have question
Well....if it's a deal too good to pass up... Like Pintail said...get it and dump the boat off on a co-worker that you really don't like. Use that money to get you a custom build or a PD boat. You will already have a trailer and a motor...you will be two thirds of the way there. Or bring the boat to the recycle yard...with all that foam in there, you may get a good price.
Click on that thing that reads "Search" at the top of the MMT ribbon...type in Xpress and see what happens. But, to answer your question...lot of people have had bad experiences with that particular brand...and there are some that have nothing but good to say about it. But, if you do your research, you will find more negative comments than positive regarding the boat, the manufacturer, the customer service, etc.

.100 gauge 5052 aluminum. That's enough of a reason.

 Re: Xpress awd have question
Only reason I have that boat is because I paid 6 grand for boat motor and trailer and prodrive had 30 hours on it when I got it. Gonna get a mud hull soon.

 Re: Xpress awd have question
There good boats just not made for mud motors. If you run any stumps .125 boats aren't worth a shit either.
