Does anyone know what size the grease fitting on a gator tail is, its the fitting to lubricate the shaft, buddy of mine put the trailering bracket right on it and snapped it off. Its a 2012 35 gtr

The zert is pressed into an aluminum pipe threaded on one end. I had broken mine so I ez-outed the pipe and replaced with a plug. I have a zert on a standard steel pipe that I use to grease then remove and re-install plug. A little more work but I don't have to worry bout being breaking aluminum nipple off.

used my time wisely at work tonight and fixed my grease fitting. As you can tell from the previous picture it was a pinched a little at the top, so i cut it back about 1/4" to get the inside diameter back round and also to give me more clearance for the trailering bracket so it doesnt happen again. After doing this I used a 3/8 tap and tapped the nipple. Used a zt-500 grease fitting and screwed it in.

How did your trailer bracket smash that grease fitting?

Its a short transom motor and the trailering bracket sits real close to the fitting, well i had a buddy with me helping pick up boat and when he put it on he trimmed down with the bracket on the fitting
