hey guys. I'm hoping to buy a mud rig within the next year. I just moved to texas(snook) and it looks like I'll be hunting everywhere from sommerville, to conroe, to trinity/livingston, to catahoula over in LA, and hopefully on the coast some. i'm don't hunt out of the boat much(or at least not yet). I was thinking about a GD 1838 with a 27 longtail or 23SD. the only problem is the NWRs on the coast say you have to have 25hp or less with a 9" prop or less, which outs both of those motors. i'm not terribly worried about being the fastest boat out there, and as long as i can stay around the 18-20 mark i'll be plent happy. don't really want to break the bank, and definitely need to keep the price under about 9k. i'd appreciate any help. thanks

You still have the option with the 27 LT since it has the 9x7. Go to you local Kohler dealer and tell them you nead a decal for a 25 and you're good to go.
