Oh how I want one!!! I need that load carrying, get up and go throttle response. I am content doing 25 mph in my boat. Just need the extra oomph to get it on a step so I can...without having to go find shallow water somewhere!

Sent using Morse Code from my not so smart phone.

KP at Prodrive told me that they were getting 28.5-29 out of the new lower unit on a 1748 PD hull and with the EFI they were getting 31-32 and bumping 33 on the same boat. He also said the throttle response and extra power of the EFI was the equivalent to their stage 2 mod kit. I can't wait to get mine I'm ordering on this week with the EFI if everything works out right.

Das cool,,,not saying it aint true. But looks like it physically impossible on this boat before being on limiter. I will know soon, but looks like the best this boat will do is ~30mph at 4700. That's if it does that. Like I said, I don't fudge the numbers and it was doing 27 on 2 gps's at 4500rpm.

Most impressive was the power though...it jumps out the hole! You can tell it will carry a load very good and that's what they were after.

More power, trim down farther to get more bite and stay under 4700. Thats how mine is running now.

At 4300 mines runs right at 30, at 4700 it runs 32-33. Old lower for reference..

Load carrying is what I want. I'm not worried as much what it will run empty since I hardly ever run it empty

I've had several previous generation PD 36's. This thread has me looking forward to taking delivery of my new rig. Should be ready in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the info.
