Prop depth adjustment knob issue

 Prop depth adjustment knob issue The vertical travel adjustment on my 24 hp Honda beavertail longtail (the thing that screws in or out that adjusts how far down the shaft/prop can go in the water) tends to work itself loose during normal operation when there isn’t pressure on it. What can I do to keep it from working itself loose so that I don’t lose it? Thread tape? Thanks for any help.

Re: Prop depth adjustment knob issue what i did with mine is skrew it all the way out and find a nut that will skrew on your stopper, then when you get your stopper where you want it you can run that nut down tight and that will hold it tight

Re: Prop depth adjustment knob issue I thought about that after I posted this topic. That is exactly what I am going to do. Did you use a lock washer or just a nut?

Re: Prop depth adjustment knob issue Why not run the nut all the way to the nob then put a sping on it to hold tension against it?
