I was real impressed at how well it did in the heat. It was 95 the other day and I was barefoot in the boat all day.

I know this is an old thread, but any update on this stuff after this hunting season? I'm due for hydroturf or something comparable and very interested in this stuff.

Also - any issues with this stuff coming up at the edge of the deck? I thought about putting a thin piece of angle aluminum or something to hold the edge down.

I added some spud holes in the bow of my hull. On the very nose I had added some poor man's hydro turf. The stuff from sears. To get it out of the way to do the cutting and welding I used a putty knife and sawed it from the metal. Reglued it and put it back in place. No issues since.

Make sure the edges are glued well and you shouldn't have any issues.

Maybe I'm looking at the wrong stuff on Sears website, but it the roll I see that seems to match is 46" x 93" and is 58lbs per roll. Can that be right? Seems really heavy. If I did my boat it would be like adding another person to the boat.

Yeah the stuff I used doesn't weigh anything, been in my boat since August. Stored outside still looks brand new.

Yep. That's it. There is also another design in the exercise area. Virtually the same thing same price. I find the one in the tool section is lighter than the one in the exercise dept.

Oh and yes the weight listed is definitely wrong. That roll weighs less than 1lb.

Contact cement works just as well, if not better, than anything else and costs less than 20 bucks.

It will rip if it's not stuck to something. Say u jus got sides done an someone is in front leaning an moving all around kicking feet n stuff around the sheet gonna move with the stuff in the boat. Prob mess up faster like that. Water will get under it and cause more problems. Only way I see that workin is if u cover ther whole sheet completely in Velcro

What happens when you want take this stuff up? I saw someone had said velcro but that seems it would be expensive to do the whole boat like that..I guess just get something that cuts the glue residue after you take out the mats?
