I currently have a Carrol Stream 9hp long tail and thinking about upgrading if I get a new boat. With that design, what upgraded motor can I get that will bolt up the same?

Are you looking for more HP? did you try calling Carrol stream motors and see what they have that might bolt to your frame.

Yea I want about 13+ hp. I'm new to these motors so not exactly sure what to look for. It doesn't have to be a Carrol motor, just need more hp.

I called Carrol Stream about a motor for a home build i'm starting. they told me all of their motors have the same bolt pattern so if you stuck with the Carrol Stream motor it should be a direct fit and a easy fix to change motors to a larger size.

Also gotta figure for similar pto shaft heights

I just got an email back.. no other Carroll motors will match up!!

What do I do ???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Go to Maxtool.com
2. Order 16hp engine
3. Put new engine on frame, take measurements
4. Make necessary changes (drill new holes, cut/ reweld frame)
5. Reassemble longtail
6. Take your boat out and plow through some mud
(Don't forget a 8x4 prop if you dont have one already)

1. Tell wife you have a rare investment opportunity. 2. Go to bank and withdraw $2500. 3. Buy a bad ass mud motor. 4. Tell wife investment was a bust. 5. If wife asks why were you so stupid to loose the money tell her stfu. 6. If she persists kill her and chop her body into little pieces and disperse them in the swamp using you new badass mud motor. Sounds like a winner.
