How much money am I gonna need?
Im in the market to buy a new boat, well i would buy a used one if i could find one in good shape. I am looking for a 16 foot mud hull, preferable excel or gator trax, i would also consider others as long as it is constructed from .125 aluminum. the boat will have to have at least a 51 inch wide bottom with split bench in the back and maybe a gun box on one side. hunt deck is also a plus. I would like for it to have at least a 35 mud buddy on the back, 45 would be better but i can deal with a 35. would also consider a GTR motor.
This will be my first time buying a mud rig and due to that i really am not sure how much i am gonna have to spend. Any one on here know any dealers that could hit me up with the price of a new rig? All estimates are also welcomed, as well as info of used/new rigs that could be of any help to me as i prepare to buy a new rig. If anyone has any other comments about the kind of boat i described above please do not hesitate to comment. all input on this subject will be greatly appreciated and will be of much use to me when i decide to make a purchase.

Where are you located? Call up Pro-Drive or Gator Tail I'm sure they wouldn't mind giving you some info on what you looking for.

Re: How much money am I gonna need?
Go with at least a 17' w/ huntdeck. the bigger motors perform better on a longer hull (more planing surface) gator trax 1750 21" sides - $6286 trailer - $1894 MB 45 mag - $8187 two half boxes - $502 for both gun box - $368 $ 17,237
obviously that price goes up as you start adding more options.
I would also consider going with a custom builder. in most situations you come out cheaper with a boat built to your exact specifications. Just FYI the MB 45 mag is not a stock 45hp motor. Its a modded 35hp so if you wanted to go with a 35 and get mods done as you go you could save a little money on the front end. You may already know that but I know alot of people think the 45 mag is stock.

Re: How much money am I gonna need?
I would go with a custom Uncle J boat. His boats are very well built. Go with 3/16 bottom. I got an 1854 with a hunt deck. Love this boat. Built like a tank.
Runs great. Turning is tricky at first but with a little tiller time that goes away fast. A 45mag will push this boat 30 mph
I got 18 k in my custom rig/trailer/ 35 gtr/ lights etc.
Best of luck !
