Can someone tell me what they think this boat is worth
Looking at bidding on an air boat on eBay. I didn't want to post this on the air boat section because I didnt want to attract more bidders. Plus the boat is on prince Edward island so I doubt you guys down there would travel that far. It is the yellow boat aluminum hull with 383 stroker and he claims 600hp. Any help would be appreciated.

maybe ask in the airboat forum and just give them the specs and leave out the for sale on ebay part. Any other rigs for sale you can compare it to? Sorry I couldnt be more helpful, good luck

Gear box? Belt drive? Poly? Condition? What prop? Lots of variables there. I'd call bs on 600 hp though, just Bc in a sbc that takes about 10k$. Say it is that though, a older 15x7 hull worth prolly 2-3k, a new one worth closer to 8. Add reduction and quality prop and you could have a 25k$ boat. lots of variables

It's got 8 days left and it has a reserve price. It won't sell at that price. Why would you think it's a scam?

Second time it's been up. I lost bid the first time. I went up to $5500. Final bid was $6250 with the reserve not being met. I think the guy lowered the reserve this time. Thanks for the feedback. I need an ice boat that can do rocks and ice.

600 HP on a small block. Is it naturally aspirated or supercharged 600 HP is pushing the limits of what a small block can handle. My buddy has a 388 stroker(bored .060 over) with 442 HP 473 tq built by a race shop with all the goodies forged rotating assembly and a big but streetable cam. It take bout 12000 to put together a 600 HP small block and would be tough to get those numbers. I call BS

600hp I'd say it is possible but the amount of money it takes to get to that amount of hp is ridiculous. Reliability at that point would be an issue as well. That thing has to be hoped up like a kid snorting pixie sticks.

600hp out of a small block is not that hard, my race/street car makes that at the wheels and i can drive it just about any wheres. a lot of people think big block big power but small blocks can make big power also. but why did you need a 600hp air boat anyways.

Re: Can someone tell me what they think this boat is worth
I need to be able to go from water to ice and some shoreline which is big rocks. Also to be able to break free from ice after the boat is bonded to it. Most boats up here have hydraulic plates that break the boat from the ice but a lot of hp can get the job done. Also I need enough hp to do this while carrying 4 wheelers or snowmobiles. My buddies go out when ice shelves break off and the ice fisherman float away. The coasties will rescue the guys by chopper but they leave there atv's and snowmobiles. So my buddies take there rides and load them on the airboats and sell them back to the insurance companies for a pretty penny. Maritime law sets in with abandoned vessels.
