 Adding Winch Plate/Receiver to Boat I'm looking at a boat that doesn't have a winch mounting plate or receiver. Has anyone added one to there boat? If so, can you post some pics?

Re: Adding Winch Plate/Receiver to Boat Does the hull have spud holes? If so mount a winch on a plate and short spud pole.... no reciever needed....

Re: Adding Winch Plate/Receiver to Boat I had a receiver /spud pole holder welded in where my bow light was and replaced the bow light with shark eyes. Also had another receiver welded up under the front deck to hold the winch out of the way and out of the weather when not being used.

Re: Adding Winch Plate/Receiver to Boat Kent with Gtrax had said that spudpole holders were not made to rig a winch, but I do not see why not. Anyone modify a seat post to put it in the receiver on the front deck? Looks like that may work too as long as it is fairly close to the deck.
