Just putting this out there incase some of you are interested.

Renegade Harley-Davidson in Alexandria, is having their 10th Anniversary Celebration Oct. 25-26 2013 and have requested Heart of Texas DockDogs and Delta Dockdogs to provide entertainment showcasing the sport of K9 Dock Jumping. Anyone can compete with any dog. So come out and watch, compete, or just come out and enjoy good foods and music, while catching some high flying, fast swimming K9's have fun.

Everyone did great this weekend. I didn't do much jumping with my yellow lab Blaze, because my daughter was working with him all weekend on the dock. She can handle him better than Cooper our Red mix.
Here is how Cooper did, 1st Big Air Senior Finals with a 19'-9" jump. 3rd place Top Gun Extreme Vertical @ 6'-0"(jump off and because we missed the tie-breaker gave us 3rd). 1st place Express Speed Retrieve with a 8.126sec time. Although we didn't place in the top 3 in Iron Dog, we still got into the Titan class with a total score of 2819.52 points, which is very hard and a great accomplishment for our 1st event. A few other Big Air waves ribbons were in there to boot. All in all, Cooper had a great weekend and performed as I expected he would.

I know many of you think this ruins a hunting dog, but there were a few duck dogs there that hunt every season and did very well. 1 black lab female took the Titan Iron Dog class and beat everyone. She is out of New Orleans and hunts very well. Keep in mind this is a good workout during the offseason.

6'-2" wound up taking that event. DD World record is 8'-5".
