Strolling around town today at the antique trade days and stumble upon this jewel. 8-)

Not knowing what I was looking at other than a real old long shaft motor I took some pics and studied it pretty good. You would be amazed at the simplicity of these motors 100 years ago. Not much has changed in terms of concept.

It is a 1914 Caille Liberty Long Shaft motor. I think it is around 2 horsepower. It was used for canoes and row boats. I wished I had the 3k laying around to buy it. Definitely a piece to have for a mudmotor enthusiast.





Here is a video of one that was restored and running.
