So what are your thoughts as to why the case bolts are snapping? I can't think of any mod done to your motor that would lead to case bolts snapping.. I would look at your crank and the possibility that it's way out of balance.. I flattened a lobe on a MB cam and ran it about 3 hours before I changed it out.. Didn't snap any bolts.. I gotta tell ya, your situation just sounds like a crappy block from Briggs to begin with..

If it was a crapy block, then why are there 4-5 other guys that are snaping bolts? :) after the Caddo run I know of 3??? that all broke at he same time.

My thoughts are all twisted right now. I think it is from bolts backing out letting the case and block twist. What you thinking?

Crap at one time i thought it was caused by heat. Then i checked it out and i was only running 198 at the hotest spot. That was with the factory oil cooler, not i was running just at 167 but the temp was only 70 and not 85 like it had been.

The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. Go here and click on the "donate a mammogram". This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising.

I had my motor on Willets boat for about 45 min run time. He let me run his prop and i ran it at 5000rpm for 3 runs lasting about 1 min each. Other than that i could not get over 4100 rpm with my prop and boat.

Ya you have 50 hrs on your rig and a few other do also. Does your stage 2 have the same as mine? Hell I dont even konw what I have. Not a single one of these motors performs the same way even if youput the same parts in them.

I have no beef with the people doing mods, i just want people to know that it cost big bucks to run these motor. If i would have know about all the problems i would have just baught another stage 1 36pd!!! The advice i was getting a year ago when I started saving for the stage 2 upgrade was we have plenty of motors with stage 3 that are years old.......but most of them dont have over 30 hrs.

When i get my rig back and it doesnt run with a stage 1 I will have twin 27pd and run stage 1.
