 Go devil problem
A buddy has a go devil long tail that is having issues. It runs fine out the water but as soon as he puts it in the water it wants to die. What is wrong it? He is thinking carb problem

First thing that comes to mind is it isn't running on both cylinders - common problem being the diode in the kill wires gone bad causing 1 coil pack to "kill" the other... You can check by pulling 1 spark plug wire with the engine running - if it dies, that's the "dead" cylinder, if it still runs, try pulling the other spark plug wire (1st put the 1 you just pulled back on - lol!)

X2 on check the coils. Also diode may have gone bad. Mine did replaced both coils then I realized diode wire was fried.

Mine was doing something similar. Except only at wot in the water. Ended up having to rebuild the carb
