First off I didn't see this post at all until Dfou commented on it but I'm gonna let it slide as it seems I have a bad rep for telling a idiot there a fukn idiot but whatever by giving the dog chew toys u r encouraging him to chew the same thing u r bitching about him doing his teething process doesn't require chew toys it will happen no matter what for just eating dog food to chew on his on tail or licking his nuts. But by giving him shit to chew on u r just encouraging him and letting him know it's ok. SECONDLY with ur attitude towards me I could careless but I hope that fukr chews up everything in ur whole god damn house and then shits all out on ur carpet ;););););););););););););););););); Sent from the baddest mudmotor out there

 Re: Holy goat dog
I don't think it's SA. He is still a puppy and that is how puppies act. You will have to train him that the kennel is his space and he is not to cry or bark in it.
Also there is nothing wrong with kenneling during the day. My dogs are kenneled anytime we leave for more than 1 hour. other than that they have free roam of the house. Blaze will go to the back door and paw at it when he wants out. Once he has enough of outside he lets himself back in. Door handles allow him to push and open the door.
It will take some time before he understands that the kennel is not bad. All puppies cry.
I've kennel trained many rescue puppies and a few older dogs. They all cried when kenneled overnight, but I was not going to allow strange dogs that I could not watch, roam the house at night.

 Re: Holy goat dog
I guess it's been a while since I had a puppy and don't remember how bad the.crying/howling was for my other dog, now four years old.

Dfou. There is a way to give advise and not be a dick about it. It seems as though every post I've read by aka he is attacking some one from a self perceived platform of all knowing superiority. If he wants to give advise don't be a fucking prick on every post and maybe people may take you advise and not write you off as a douche with a complex. That was the general reason for the go fuck yourself. If he was an award winning breaded / trainer with 40 years of expert training I would happily take his advise. But from what I can see in my last year of being on this site he has taken the role of the all knowing all insulting homo erotic comment giving douche. If that is the role he wants then he can apply phalice to oraphice.

 Re: Holy goat dog
Don't worry about the crying it is just their way of trying to manipulate you, same as FF a dog will react one of 3 ways. Fight, Flight or Fake...the fake is the crying my dog was a faker you would put your hand on her collar and she would start to cry because she knew the next word would be "fetch" with an ear pinch. I am not talking puppy whimpering cries either I mean it sounded like she was being skinned alive.
Don't break, break the dog. There was one other thing I read that I would suggest not allowing but you can if you wish. The part about allowing the dog to take something from the garbage that he is "allowed" to have. I dog does not know what it is "allowed and not allowed" to have. I guess what I am saying is he can no distinguish between what is good and not good for him in the garbage. This could lead to problems down the road when the dog thinks he is "allowed" to have something and you don't think is should have it, you won't be able to call him off said thing. Good example is either a rotten fish or duck the dog finds while hunting, he may think he is "allowed" to go and eat or roll in it, but I am sure you will not want him too. Besides he is not going to pick just one little thing out of the garbage at a time or if he gets loose the neighbors garbage.
One early think I taught my dog was "no" and "okay" I really wished I had have picked a better word than OKAY. That is her release command but it is used in common everyday language so much that during a conversation in the blind she heard "okay" and broke from her stand to just run around. I would choose break or release if I were to do it over.
Any time she sits of food or a treat she must wait for the word "okay" no matter who feeds her. Same as sitting she needs to be released or told a second command before she is allowed to do something else. I tell this to my friends when they come over but sometimes they forget and she ends up sitting for long times LOL.
Later Phil
