Gecker closed down shortly after he got the boot. Several folks followed him around the cart sites and other forums he frequented after leaving here too. there were several times an Mmt bus was talked about being leased for a cross country trip, picking up members along the way

Robs always been straight with me.....not sure what all went on since I haven't spoken to rob about it. I hate hearing about this. I'm gonna with hold my opinion until I talk to rob and hoyt, if they are willing to discuss it.

I've talked to rob, went and got my boat from him yesterday. Dude straight showed me a rod from a 35 and a rod from a 31. Exact same thing. If there is a difference, the naked eye can't see it. If I had a problems like ole dude had I would have taken it back to the original mechanic and demanded it be fixed. But that's me. I know he did me right I had to threaten him to take my money for helping me out.

So you're saying the connecting rod for a short stroke 31hp is the same connecting rod as a 35hp?

They are not the same rods, I don't care what you say. The 31 rods or longer than the 35 rods, hence the reason shooters compression was so low with 36 aftermarket rods on a 32 crank

Shooters 32 prodrive has longer EVT rods with flat tops and .040 decked heads and his compression was 175. Does that sound right to you? The reason his compression was so low was due to the fact on he had installed 36 hp EVT rods and pistons on a 32 hp crank.

Make it easy for em Jamie. The stroke on the 35 is 3.41". The stroke on the 31 is 3.07". Both bores are 3.37". Both compression ratios are 8.2:1. There's only a couple ways to achieve the same compression with the same bore and a shorter stroke crank...rod length, cylinder head combustion chamber size, or piston compression height/dish volume/piston top design. Which one of these routes you think would be the easiest for briggs?

Human error, The 31 and 35 pistons or the same pistons but have different part #s and the 31 Piston was 7 dollars cheaper than the 35 piston. Does that make since?

Or a 45 versus a 42? They look the same but...

The thought is that it wasn't done intentionally, Mechanical error, it happens all the time, just make it right and move on, Its a learning!
