I had a flat bed with a 1000 gal tank and a 8 foot rod. there are fire ant beds that I never got to the bottom of in Bellchase La. A buddy opened up a sporting clays range and wanted the fire ants gonI sprayed and sprayed thousand of gal of insecticed and only made a dent in them. We use to use lq. tear gas when we would fume a house to keep people out. I got the idea of pouring the tear gas on a little piece of rag and pushing it down into the nest. Some of the nest were 20 + foot deep. They would erupt out of the mounds like a valcano.
None of that worked. Amdro came out. 3 treatments a year got 90% control . Nothing works better.
