1st post guys, long time lurker. I been running a gtr for about a month now. Went down to loureaville and bought a brand new 1846 xtreme with a stage 1 from Kyle and Hoyt built the motor. I'm highly disappointed. With everyone here always ragging everyone like jimmyw, and delta duck master, because they don't have a gtr my expectations were built up high. I was soon let down every time I try to back of the trailer. What a joke. Every time I pull on the bank to cut cane and try to back off, what a joke. Pull up to the dock a lil hot and hit reverse, what a joke.

Now I been here long enough to know that those with a gtr will make me look like an idiot, but to those of u with a different brand thinking bout switching brands, and to those who may be looking for their first rig..this motor doesn't reverse. And before u buy one, go run one. If ur arm is still there when ur finished!

Have u adjusted torque tab? Are u trimmed down when reversed? And by ur 2nd last sentence it sounds like u went drop $17-19k without taking test drive.... Real smart on your behalf

Hey booke sounds like you need a reverse plate!!! It more than doubles your reverse power especially in deep water

First of all, why are you using reverse to back off of trailer. You ain't doing sometin' right, T-boy.

Probably because he has reverse and should be able to. That's is how most do with an outboard, isn't it.

Take it out of gear before you grab the reverse lever. It will work a lot better for ya
