Re: 7000 hd?? Mb vs grt and pd
I have a clue...I bet its because stock motors are turds on that frame due to the design. That must suck that if you want that science project of a frame you have to spend the extra money on a modded motor.

Re: 7000 hd?? Mb vs grt and pd
Good Lawd!! Pro-Drives lower unit spins around! How in the hell are you going break it with HP??
Pro-Drive Doesn't do mods because it voids Briggs warranty and they also know that Briggs casting is crap! They would have to pick up the tab on all these dumbasses destroying them by running WFO all day long or getting it stuck and bounce off the rev limiter for a hour! I wouldn't do it either!
And the reason Pro Drive don't do as well in certain mud conditions has nothing to do with the drive angle or the knuckle as some has assumed, It because it has the shortest prop shaft of all the surface drives. The prop is closer to the surface and blows out easier. But with a good prop and a light hand on the throttle it will get it done, just not as quick.
Truthfully In most conditions ( soupy) my PD runs circles around all of them in reverse.

GatorTail offers Hoyt's mods and ProDrive offers the only EFI kit for a 35 Briggs. What was the question???

At least it livens the place up for a couple days. Between him and mud machine it might be for a couple weeks.

I know just as much about mud motors as you do in fact most guys here do. This forum seems to be the place to joke and have a little fun some people just take it better than others [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]

Mayhem73,
Could you explain why you believe Pro-Drives reverse cannot stand up to a modded engine? I am assuming you are aware of how the Pro-Drives reverse functions.

Re: 7000 hd?? Mb vs grt and pd
Can they? That is why I asked why Prodrive and Gatortail don't offer motors with mods from the factory. I understand the warranty issue but is that the only reason?

Yup, do whatever you want to the motor, their product will hold it.
