 Prodrive Trim Unit Help Appreciated
Unit recently started bleeding down slowly over a matter of 15-20 minutes. Can't find any visible leaks. It trims up just fine and at normal speed but doesn't hold position as it should. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks for your help guys.

Where is the check valve and how does it apply to the loss of pressure in the line? A bad seal or malfunction in the valve itself?

I would say seal in cylinder.
Very easy to rebuild cylinder and if I remember right not very expensive for the kit.
Call PD and buy one.

Its similar to what I think was happening to alot of our reverse cylinders.
There is a seal that one side of the lip flips over and lets fluid bypass it.

I noticed my 07' will do this alittle. But mine does it over night. Running, it stays in position. Over night, it will slowly bleed down just a little, but noticable. I looked at the trim ram, and I don't see an "end cap" to take off. Looks welded on. The reverse ram actually has one end with flat spots machined on it for a wrench to remove it. The trim unit has the dog lock on one end, and the other end is welded on. Is there a trick that I don't know about?

You can get a seal kit for less than $30, the trim ram unscrews...
BUT, and I know you're gonna think I'm crazy, if you have the old style trim switches, while running it will trickle through and cause this also. If you trim down on the trailer and it comes to a dragging stop or a bumpy stop, check the switch. I changed the seals in my ram one time thinking it was leaking down and found this out. Changed the switch and it worked fine after. Much more responsive and stopped dead on.

Also if your oil gets contaminated with water it will cause the check valves to corrode and stick/not seal, and cause the cylinder to act up.
