 best performing hull size What do you guys think would run best with a 23hp go devil a 17x38 or 17x40 or is there really much difference in performance?

Re: best performing hull size How would an 18x38 perform i plan on crawfishin this year so I want a hull that's goin to carry a decent load but still want about 18mph. Keep in mind I will more then likely mod my motor over time.

best performing hull size Go ahead and buy that 1838 from go devil and be done. That's their fastest boat btw, ideal for the 23.

Re: best performing hull size I have a 1836 GD with a 23 GD . it will bump 20 mph, hold 18 + mph with just me and 16 or 17 with 4 people.

Re: best performing hull size By the time you rig out a custom you ain't much cheaper than that 18x38. That 18x38 is a sweet hull. The fact that it run 16 or 17 with 4 is amazing. My 23 sd doesn't necessarily plane with 3 of more.

Re: best performing hull size That gd hull will be heavier with the flotation in it. Some like having the flotation some don't.

Re: best performing hull size I don't want flotation and I want a more open floor than the GD boats have. I want a skiff also the cheapest I've found one was 2200 but I didn't really like the way they built them with exposed ribs and transom didn't look to beefed up.
