Hello guys. Newby here I just finished a 212 predator longtail like the stump jumpers. It is running around 37-3800 rpm out of water . What should the rpm be in the water? I am putting it on a layout boat that I built. It is basically 36"x11'. I put a hill 7x4 prop on it... Any input would be greatly appreciated Thank you

Thank you for the reply... I finally took it out and it ran about 28-2900 rpm in the water ... It pushed the boat about 11-12 mph. So my guess is that it is over propped ? I will prob end up ordering a 6.5x4

Pm duckystyle or ghetto. They have the same motor. Ask what prop they got

Thanks. I did pm duckystyle before I started the build but never got a reply. Ghetto has a hopped up engine and mine is still stock (for now)

Duckystyle had a great idea with the aluminum prop adapter... I should of did that to find the correct prop, then ordered the SS one

Just hop up that engine and get it to that rpm range, it can be done relatively cheap from some go cart sites, for just about the same as buying a new prop you could just get a kit and hop up your engine... hell if it blows up you can get another at harbor freight for $99 (with coupon)...
