Post boat size help
I am hopefully going to get a new prodigy boat soon. I'm trying to decide on what size to get. Will a bigger 1854 draft shallower than a smaller boat like 1648? I will have a hunt deck on that so basically 2054 or 1848. Running a spot a lot that is a shallow semi hard bottom and need a boat that will draft the best without tearing the prop up constantly. I would like to have the bigger boat for space and loading lots of gear and ppl.

Then definitely get the 18x54 for hauling loads and it will draft less then a 48.
Prodigy builds some awesome looking boats!
What motor are you going with?

Prodigy adds the HD the the length of their boats like GTrax? Hadn't heard that about them yet.

I will be going with a MB 4500. I need the extra hp and a gator tail with the mods on it to push a 1854 just isn't in my budget right now. Saying all this, I HAVE to sell my boat first before I can get new one or I'm not getting a new boat at all.

Our drop deck does not add length to the boat. A 1854 drop deck is 18 foot long......... a 1854 w a BD4500 is what I ran all season............31 w hunting load and my daughter and dog etc.

Draft is very lil in our 1854................

So you the overall measurement as length instead of the fake transom like gator trax? Am I reading that right? Either way the boats look great
