What i mean to you being new to these thing is you have seen alot less of them. like I mentioned earlier prodrive sbx hulls are self bailing so when you hit these 3-4' rollers (which i want a video of because i think mine and your tape measure are different)you won't sink

People tend to exaggerate waves.

I was in honest 2' whitecaps this year and I was very uncomfortable. Went back into the woods and hugged the bank all the way out.
I've never been impressed with Excels, but good marketing will outsell quality products time and time again. The SBX is probly the safest mud boat there is

2-3' lake waves must be different than 2-3' waves offshore. I've been uncomfortable in 3' season a 26' boat before. When I hear talk of 3' waves that tells me they have never actually seen a 3' wave

2 footers can be worse than 4 footers. All depends on their spacing and what the wind is doing. Ill take my mud boat out all day in 3 foot rollers. But I will not take it out in 2 ft chop.

Waves are what people talk about... frequency is what sinks your boat.

Doesn't matter what the wave heights are...that argument is irrelevant to this thread. An Excel hull is an under performing hull IMO and A LOT of others opinions as well based off of performance alone. Forget the fact they are now owned by MB. The hull design is what is in question. They rob the performance engines of peak performance results. Do they get the job done? In some cases yes, but why send a boy to do a man's job? Don't take my word for it though. Do your research and ask people that have owned them, sold them and now driving something else so they can compare.
