 Re: Sears "hydroturf" install
Looks good! The more I see the Sears stuff the less I want to put up the money for real hydroturf.

 Re: Sears
By the time you buy two quarts, you could buy a gallon. I just buy a gallon and save the leftovers.

 Re: Sears "hydroturf" install
I'll ask again, but has anyone actually had hydro turf and then this? That would actually recommend it over hydro?

 Re: Sears
Of course the hydro turf is better but check the price out. I have a buddy wit the hydro an it's nice but he paid for it. I went wit sears stuff an will continue to use sears stuff. It took 80$ to do my boat an have put threw the test this season an no problems.

 Re: Sears
The hydro better in every way other than price. It hold up better the material Is tuffer than sears stuff. But for the price if something does fuk up I can spend 20 on a sheet n fix. It still looks new in my boat an I ran it almost everyday of season. Jus has like two bubbles in it from where I didn't put enough glue down but don't bother me none

 Re: Sears
I have felt the sears stuff and it is softer and not as stiff as the hydro. Damn I just dont want to spend out the ass for it!

 Re: Sears
I have HT in my last two boats. I just recently purchased a new boat and will be using the sears stuff b/c I don't want to spend $400 on the real stuff. I will post some finished pics and let you know how it holds up.

 Re: Sears "hydroturf" install
Saw this thread 3 days ago. Today I finished my version of a homemade Triton Bass-N-Bay. Lots of prep and work but worth it. Holds up good if you do it right. The little strip of carpet in back is getting spray on bed liner cause I don't want foam sticking up above the lids. It will keep the deck flush. I'll wright a review after a couple fishing trips this weekend.

 Re: Sears
What did you all use to glue the foam down? It is in the 50's where I live and I would use contact cement but it requires it to be 65 minimum, so I am looking for something else that would be as effective. Thanks

 Re: Sears
I don't think so. Was fairly cool when I put mine in. Low 50's. doesn't say anything on the can about temp. Just says wait a minute or two before bonding, so the glue gets tacky. It's holding it together real good. 3M Super 90.

 Re: Sears "hydroturf" install
IMO the 3M 90 is best and far superior to the 3M 77. It's a little more expensive but worth it
