I've deleted a few threads today in an attempt to get the place back to normal. And yes I've even deleted a thread started by dguidry as well.

You know running this site is a lot like being an elementary school principal where you have to deal with some of the supidest shit. The thing is MMT is a lot like being in Loreauville. I once had a guy I know who was a Sheriff's officer who worked Loreauville and we were talking about how he liked working his hometown. He said a lot of folks want you to enforce the law, but they don't want you to enforce it 100%. Same with MMT. Folks want me to ban this one or ban that one but some of the ones screaming the loudest are the ones themselves who could very easily be banned for some of the things they post. They bitch but when a post gets deleted they hoot and holler. That's how it is running MMT. Anyone that knows me personally knows that I try to keep everyone happy and sometimes that ain't possible. You can't please everyone.

I always try to let members work these things out and in most cases it always does in the end. But sometimes you gotta put your foot down and take care of business, hurt feelings be damned. If your thread got pulled, ain't nothing personal so don't get all butt hurt like we hacked into your bank account and robbed you blind, it's an internet website for Christ's sake and you'll live to see tomorrow and chances are you won't lose sleep over it. If you do well you got issues that maybe a counselor needs to help you with.

A friend of mine said something to me about MMT that hit home. Yes we have freedom of speech and I've always promoted that on MMT, but at the end of the day this ain't a publicly owned deal. I as owner pay the bills and I can sure as hell do as I please, ban who I want etc., etc., but I've never seen it that way. I've always seen MMT as a place that was built by the members. Sure I own it but without members you got nothing.

Let's use this time to start again and this time let's cut the pirate shit, the ban hammer shit and whatever shit I'm forgetting to mention. We have a damn good thing here at MMT, and it's up to all of you to keep it on track. If you can't do that well then shit's gonna happen but I hope it doesn't take that because I know that even with all the bullshit going on right now that there are plenty of good people here and I know we can make this thing the best, as it's always been.
