Post Finally painted
Made a trip to Morgan City back in January to pick up a 1854 from Uncle J and finally got paint on it today. Used Stxy Rivers nat gear stencils and Sherwin Williams automotive paint. I think it turned out pretty good. We'll see how it holds up. Holy mother freaking down draft paint booth. I would say based on the shine of the paint its not so much a hunting boat hence the lighter than normal base color. Dang dude that thing looks awesome

Post Re: Finally painted
The base just looks bright because of the photo and the shine from the clear coat drying. Plus being taken in a bright white paint booth doesn't help either. The test panel on the left is what it will look like dried. The base color is just a gray with a little red added to it. I work in a body shop so I have full access to a paint mixing setup and paint booth. The clear I used is just an automotive clear with a flating agent added to it. When it dries and sits for a few days it will have an egg shell finish.

Thanks guys! Can't wait for the lakes up here to thaw out and get a new pro-drive mounted on it.
