Post Need Advice on a Quick Fix
I need some help on something im sure alot of people have had happen to them. This morning while duck hunting in delta national forest we were moving through the flooded timber and some how a piece of sunk hog wire poked through my waders in my right leg near the crotch seam, what is somethings i can use as a patch for the next four days of hunting? Any advice will be great, we killed a ton of ducks this morning and i will be really mad if i cant hunt tommorrow!!!

theirs some stuff called boot goop. Add it to the hole inside and out and let it dry. Work like a charm.

Or if you can't find any of that stuff, use clear silicone, should work too, just not as good. You can buy the chit at walmart. I know you got lots of walmarts in Ms. I was just there for a week and a half duck huntin myself. I was in Crowder staying with a good buddy of mine. To much water over there, all the fields were flooded, so the cypress brakes we hunt were way to deep to hunt, at least to stand in the cypress. We ended up hunting from our boats. Didn't do to well. But we had fun and ate good! Good ole southern fried eatin!

Thankyou for that advice I think we have some of that chit lying around the camp house, we killed 6 wood ducks and 6 green heads this morning standing in the timber it was deep in spots and we had to work around the deep holes but other then that it was a great hunt. Without the dog this morning we would have lost most of the birds because it was to deep.

Shoe Goo - and a 2 to 3 inch patch cut from an old crappy raincoat on the inside of the waders - use plenty of the Shoe Goo....

Also good for patchin shot up decoys too...

For repair in the field I use Loc-tite O-ring glue. If you can find a spot to get out of the water for a couple minutes, put a thin coat on either side of puncture, hold together couple minutes and keep hunting.Ive never tried Shoe goo or Aqua seal so I dont know how long they take to set up.
