 Re: xpress boats ??
i know a lot of guys run em with outboards and they seem to be nice boats but I dont know if they make a true slick flat bottom boat. but im not 100% on that.

 Re: xpress boats ??
I have a 1870 Express with a 90 Yamaha. The boat is very well built and performs excellent as a package.I was told by Illowa Pro-Drive that the Express hulls do not perform well with a mud motor. The semi v will kill the performance and the boat will plow the water with a load...If you go this route you need a true flat bottom boat with out the V...I ran a 1650 Polar Kraft flat bottom and it did well for a boat with runners on the bottom.Once you own a mud boat with a slick flat bottom you will kick yourself in the Azz for wasting money on a hull with runners on the bottom.I am not saying it wont work with a Mudmotor,But you will not be happy with the performance of the hull.

 Re: xpress boats ??
Although I have to agree with whats typed above. I put a MB 5000 on a 1650 Xpress Mod V. I have not seen it run but got this feedback from the customer.
Empty the hull runs a "solid" 33mph Under an 800 - 1000lb load it'll still run high 20s low 30s.
Thats all I got on that subject.
