 Gator Tail Folding Rear Deck Does anyone have this option and how do you like it? Do you find that it takes up too much floor space or not?

Re: Gator Tail Folding Rear Deck I have one on mine, it does take up some space and it does add some weight to the boat, but I love the way you can sit and drive or stand up , I also put a pedestal seat base on for fishing, I've drove other boats without and would still keep mine if I had to choose again. It also offers another storage area to put things under that will not blow out, I also have a 18 foot boat, if you are going to use it for fishing I would definitely get one , but everyone has their likes and dislikes

Re: Gator Tail Folding Rear Deck Not sure if im late on answering your question about the folding rear bench, but I would recommend it! You will have plenty of room driving while standing and having a full bench in the back for your buddy to fish from is great! Everyone that sees it talks about how cool of a feature it is.

Re: Gator Tail Folding Rear Deck This is how I did the last one I built, as the new owner wanted a back deck. It's 30" and is completly removable. Have a tab that is welded under the catwalk to the side that reveices the deck and the deck bolts in with some 5/16 SS bolts and lock nuts. I don't know that it's something I would want in my own rig or not, but it came out nice, and when removed there is virtualy no impact from the tabs used to mount it.
