Post Gtr lower unit
Was cleaning off prop today and noticed a very small amount of grease between the prop and the shaft housing just wondering if it's normal thanks

I have never noticed grease coming from there sounds like a seal issue. You do put new grease into your lower unit right? And before doing so you remove the set screw that allows the old grease to come out before the seal/prop.

From time to time a little grease seeps past the rear seal. It's perfectly normal. Depending on how you were running and for how long, you may or may not see it back there.

Just make sure you pull the screw out like WEA said when you grease it.

MNGtail - it does only sound like normal seepage, but I got a few ? for you.

what year is the motor?

how many hours you got on it?

do you use AMSOIL grease, when you change grease do you notice a lot (any) water contamination in old grease?

thanks
