 Prodigy's NEW Fishtail hull!
Ya'll get a chance pop over to Prodigy's FB page and check out the photos Chad just posted of the new Fish Tail hull! The hits just keep on coming from Prodigy! That is as close as i've seen to a perfect dual purpose boat; Hunting/Fishing. Huge amounts of storage and a large rear deck too. More to come I hear.................... Todd

 Re: Prodigy's NEW Fishtail hull!
i wonder if the transom would help keeping the wake out of the back of the boat when you slow down? kind of looks like it would channel it off to the sides?

It's cool, I think I'd prefer it without all the storage/deck though.

Looks cool. Are you going to put a blind on this boat and if so, what kind of blind?

 Re: Prodigy's NEW Fishtail hull!
It's cool but what's the point of that storage hatch in the rear if it's open underneath anyways? Or does that get sealed up. A lot of storage on that boat.

 Re: Prodigy's NEW Fishtail hull!
Seems like it would work better for center console or stick steer than tiller, unless you ran it from the deck?

 Re: Prodigy's NEW Fishtail hull!
I was talking about this one. Directly in front of the transom. There's a lid and then it's open underneath it. Seems like once a motor is mounted you won't even be able to open the hatch. Maybe I'm missing something here. You can clearly see a hinge there.

 Re: Prodigy's NEW Fishtail hull!
Got the mb 4500 bd. I like a lot of storage, doesn't mean it has to be used, but the option is nice. Gonna be takin my wife and daughter on weekend trips, find sandbars to camp off and fish etc. Chad had this killer idea, I thought about and went for it. I think it's gonna be an excellent all round boat

 Re: Prodigy's NEW Fishtail hull!
I'm more than pleased with the way it's turning out, I wanted a four season boat and I think the idea was really captured with this design. Nothin better than when my wife saw it, I didn't know she could get so excited over it...thought she would just shrug it off

 Re: Prodigy's NEW Fishtail hull!
If it was mine, the only gripe I would have is the sport deck doesnt flow into the sides very well, but it's not my boat. Other than that, it looks real nice Clark.

 Re: Prodigy's NEW Fishtail hull!
Very nice looking boat!
Only thing i see is with a Tiller, When you hit something really hard and your motor kicks up and then your hand/arm smacks that "rear bench" you're not going to be very happy

 Re: Prodigy's NEW Fishtail hull!
I could be wrong but aren't the dimensions of the rear deck and hatch the same as that of a drop deck and 10 inch catwalks?

 Re: Prodigy's NEW Fishtail hull!
I ran an 1854 drop deck last year with the 45 corners and the rear catwalk bench, this boat has the exact same interior space. It ran great with a 45 BD. I can't see a weight difference in that and this really other than maybe some bracing which has to be less than 20#...
The purpose for the hatch was to access the batteries/bilge etc. easier under there. I actually told him to leave the hatch off on mine... it can be done with or without.
The way that boat handles from the sitting position is more ergonomic with a MB tiller than any boat I've ever operated. The other sport deck he has is more practical for other brands bc of the shorter handle.....unless you go CC and then the fishtail is open for you again.

 Prodigy's NEW Fishtail hull!
It's like anything else guys.. Not every boat is for everyone.. But I am very confidant that regardless many folks will jump in and make comments etc that are both sarcastic and at times inaccurate. All u gotta do is move on to the next thread if u don't like the boat or whatever etc.. And to think we sponsors of this site pay to read some of this Internet journalism.......
