It appears as though where the motor mount sits on my 1652 welded alum boat will attach at 18 inches. I have a 24 GDLT. Any thoughts as to where this may lead? The mount is actually a CMC outboard motor breakaway. Because of the design, a go-devil motor mount will seat 3-3.5 inches lower than the transom (21") and 4" farther back. I dont think security is an issue as the mount is very heavy duty. I can add a 1" diam. bolt on each side to lock it in position. Any experienced input is appreciated..
