 Quickslick...
Its been a while since Ive posted on the forum but I wanted to update some of you who may be thinking about trying out a slickbottom coating. I recently put a gallon of quickslick on my 1436 jon boat with pods and I cant believe how awesome it turned out! I worked for 3 days grinding the old paint off the bottom and sides of the boat, including every single rivet I planned on painting over. I don't run a lot of sand but I do run a fair amount of vegetation.. Anyone looking for a slick bottom paint, I would HIGHLY recommend this stuff. best price in the industry and you can deal directly with the owner who is first class IMO. Just thought I would spread the world a little.

 Re: Quickslick...
It was 95 bucks a gallon + shipping. and no. I could have probably done it with less than a gallon.

 Re: Quickslick...
I've been selling/installing Quick Slick for almost 2 years now, and it is a great product. It goes on alot thicker than most all other brands of bottom coating, so yes you will need more, but it also goes on in only 1 coat (no primer, base coat, or multiple applications), installation takes a fraction of the time to install. And I have yet to have a customer that is unsatisfied with it.

 Re: Quickslick...
My buddy has quick slick on his boat and he works as a commercial fisherman. Absolute hardest I have ever seen someone treat a boat. Needless to say its wrecked and pealing beyond recognition but I'm sure most other products wpuld look the same. So slick he ha lost the boat on the highway quite a few times lol.

 Re: Quickslick...
I sell Belzona coatings and we sell a hydrophobic, energy efficiency coating for water pumps. Belzona 1341 Supermetal Glide. It is Teflon impregnated and has a smoothness 20x better than polished stainless steel. The only issue is the cost of application on an aluminum boat. It costs about $20-$30 a square foot installed price. It is a two part epoxy based product and gets installed over a grit blasted profile. I am trying to decide on whether I want to even try it. Even at my cost it would still be expensive. Based on the flow gains and energy decreases we see in pumps, it may be awesome on a boat bottom. But with the cost, no one has tried it yet. If I pull the trigger, I will definitely post pics and results. Just FYI, as to what kinds of technology is out there.

 Re: Quickslick...
Really???
Just kidding, I don't know Brian (quickslck) personally but he's another Florida boy air boater and I haven't heard a bad word about him. He recently bought a gear box company ( oxbox) from a guy that was going under but had a great gear box. Brian honored all the contracts without the down payments the prior guy collected. Not sure but heard he built guys gear boxes that were pay for to the prior owner without taking a dime. If thats true that tells me he's a stand up guy! I hope he's the guy I'm competing against, I'd be honored

 Re: Quickslick...
Not trying to bash on this product at all but did want to show a few pics of the quick slick on the boat I mentioned before. Like I said this boy is stupid hard on his shit and the boat has some literal highway miles so I'm sure any other bottom coating would look as bad or worse. Shit is ultra slick though.
