Post Just heard on the radio
That the LA state legislature is suppose to take a vote today to abolish the "brake tag" requirement for boat trailers. As much as I dont care for him, Austin Badon sponsored the bill and will be getting a very long thank you letter from me if he is able to get it passed.

I dont know if it will be news worthy enough to make the news tonight, so if any of yall hear that this passed please let us know.

Our company makes us keep all the work trailer inspections up to date but I have never inspected any of my personal trailers. I actually didn't even know about the law until a few years ago and I have been pulling a boat in LA since 2001

All my stuff is still registered in Alabama. No vehicle inspections, no trailer license plate, and no trailer inspections!

You can get a two year inspection for $20. If this doesn't pass.

Some people need to have their trailers inspected. Have you seen the contraptions people are pulling without lights.

Just sayin

It's a LEO job to address the violation. If the trailer light is out, write the ticket. Fuck an inspection sticker which is just another cash cow.
And fuck the traffic cameras while I'm bitching.

I'm against the inspections also because I keep up my trailer and fix what is broken. I agree they are doing it for the money. It may make people get their trailer in working order at least once a year though.

I don't know one person who has their trailer inspected nor do I know one person who has ever received a ticket for not having it inspected.

Having a trailer inspection has been on the books for many years. It's nothing new, just something nobody was really aware of. Don't worry, it's a secondary offense to not have it. You would have to be pulled over for another violation to be cited for no trailer inspection. Drive normally and keep your trailer from being a piece of shit and you should be good to go.

The only good thing about getting trailers inspected is that you can put the sticker on your truck windshield when you leave the parking lot.

I think they should keep the inspection and I would probably charge $30 a trailer. There's still people in New Orleans trying to recover after Katrina they need the money to help them survive.
